THE GOAL of our youth ministry is to impact the lives of young Christians and their peers through fellowship and education in the Lord. This ministry, led by Nate Reiser, involves teens from grades 6 to 12. To build up the Christian lives of teens, the O’Fallon Church of Christ youth ministry uses a three-fold approach of Service, Outreach, and Support for leading young people to God.
SERVICE
Mark 10:45
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
The O’Fallon Church of Christ youth group strives to serve all people. We know that Jesus came to serve. He illustrated that by washing his disciples feet. He proved to them that serving others was a very important part of his ministry. We feel it is also an important part of our ministry.
OUTREACH
Mark 16:15 - 16
15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."
The O’Fallon Church of Christ Youth Group feels this is the most important part of our ministry. We want to spread the gospel to all parts of the world. As teens from the community come in our doors, we make a point to meet them. The teens are also encouraged to invite friends whenever possible so that they may participate in and receive the joys of being a Christian.
SUPPORT
Galatians 6:2
Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
The O’Fallon Church of Christ youth group works to support one another. We strive to create a foundation for youth to grow and continue in long-term spiritual growth. Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. and Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m., the youth are encouraged to attend classes specifically focused on their needs and level of spiritual development. The teens in the youth group work together through the challenges they face in today’s world.
